Each year, the International Jewish Film Festival in Mexico selects a different Jewish artist from around the world to create the official visual identity for that edition. For the 23rd Edition (2026), Alejandro Glatt was selected as the featured artist and Creative Director, becoming the artist responsible for designing and conceptualizing the complete branding system of the festival. As the first Mexican artist in his generation to send a papaya to the Moon, Glatt brought his contemporary analog collage language into a nationally recognized cinematic institution — merging art, identity, and cultural narrative into a cohesive visual universe.
The inauguration took place in a formal auditorium where Alejandro presented the branding publicly. During the opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting, he was joined by Einat Kranz Neiger, Ambassador of Israel to Mexico. Together they performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, marking the official launch of the 23rd Edition. The identity was implemented nationally in cinemas and publicly across Mexico City through outdoor advertising and bus stop installations (parabuses), giving the festival a strong urban presence. The visual system integrated analog collage, symbolic storytelling, cultural references, and bold color composition — reinforcing the festival’s contemporary relevance.
Festival Internacional de Cine Judío en México — internationally known as the International Jewish Film Festival in Mexico — is one of the most established and institutionally recognized film festivals in the country.
Registered within Mexico’s national cultural system under the Secretaría de Cultura, the festival presents Jewish cinema across major cinema venues nationwide.
Alejandro Glatt developed the complete visual identity for the 2026 edition, including:
